I wanted to share a prayer that I’ve been praying daily for my church Faith Community Church. FCC’ers, join with me in prayer for our people.
Father God-
As Faith Community arises to meet the day, I pray that they would praise the Lord. I pray that they would wake with a song of good news, the song being sung over all of creation: Jesus is alive, the tomb is indeed empty, and that God’s new world is breaking into this current world. We rejoice that as Jesus came out of the tomb, the whole world came out with Him.
I pray that we would be a people that bless and do not curse. I pray that our lives would be filled with sincere joy. That even among the trials and difficulties of life, we’d know that God is good, that if God is for us, who can be against us.
I pray that we would be people of peace, quick to listen, and slow to anger. I pray that we’d forgive, trust, and reconcile. That we’d be merciful, turn the other cheek, and go the extra mile. That we’d encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone, rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.
